2011;
3rd on the Surf Ski race at the European LifeSaving Championships. Winner of the Oceanman and the Run-Swim-Run at the Dutch National Championships, due to a tragic accident in the family these were all the events I did, so over a best of 4 events I finished 4rth. At the Dutch Pool Championships I finished 3rd overall. And during the Oxbow series in Belgium I won all the Oceanman events and during the FILCOW I won all the water events (Ski, Board, Swim and Oceanman) and at Baywatch (my home event, hosted by RB Echt), I won the Swim, Ski and Oceanman. Won the Surf Ski Race and the Board Race at the Dutch National Championships and came 2nd at the Run-Swim-Run, but due to family obligation had to leave the event, not being able to defend my Oceanman title and losing the overall ranking (finished 3rd). Finished 3rd on the Dutch Pool Lifesaving Championships.
And competed at the World Lifesaving Championships, finishing 7th with the complete team. Making 2 individual finals (Surf Ski race and the Superlifesaver) and when I was in the relay team we made the finals. With this achievement I am the first Dutch competitor to ever reach into a individual final in a craft event during the Ocean/Surf part of the championship and we won a bronze medal on the 4x 50 medley relay.
Slashed 2 Dutch records during the German Cup in Warendorf, improving the 50m Manikin Carry by nearly 0.8 of a second to 31.76 and improving the old Rescue Medley record by almost 3 seconds to 1.09.46
